Writing marketing copy to help focus the mind on what's really important

Taking a break from feature building today to update our homepage for supapm.com.

I find it's hugely helpful to try to write the benefits-focused marketing copy for a product or feature you're building - it helps me refine the core of the problem to solve, and why anyone should care about it being solved.

Like most of my work now this started with a prompt to my agent in Cursor. I make sure I thoroughly document the product as it evolves, writing it all in organised headings in a general.mdc file for Cursor to use with all requests.

It took a good first pass and then we refined it, adding the ROI calculator and the pricing section. I really like the 3 steps too - makes it sound quick and easy to get set up.

The final page isn't perfect but perfect is the enemy of done, so I'm going with what you see in the video for now, and I've only spent about 45 minutes on it.

Now we get back to features - specifically the hard one of letting AI match insights with features, and getting to that end point of letting AI prioritise our backlog for us.
